I’m sure there are many ways to drive targeted traffic to your website.
Here is a list of 6 great ways to get targeted traffic to your website. Some of these methods can be immediate, others may take a bit longer.
1) SEO
This is the most import method and can drive loads of traffic to your website. With this alone you can drive enough traffic to your website you will not have to worry about other ways of driving traffic to your website. But it must be done properly. If you are fairly new to SEO, you mike like to read about some SEO Tips i have put together.
2) Free downloadable e-books.
You can provide a free downloadable e-book from your website about the topic discussed on your website. Visitors will read and pass on your e-book and this will create a continuous stream of traffic over time.
If you are unable or too lazy to write your own e-book, there are other ways to get an e-book published and it shouldn’t cost you too much either. See www.elance.com for information on finding online and offline publishers.
3) Add signatures to your emails.
Supply a signature with your emails that include your name (obviously), your website, and a link to your downloadable Ebook.
4) Link Exchange.
Link exchange is a good way of getting your website recognized by the search engines. Links count as a virtual vote for your website from another website, in the eyes of Google, Yahoo and MSN.
The Quality of those links matter more than the number. Related websites will have a greater weighting in the eyes of the search engine than a site which is clearly a simple exchanging of links.
5) Social Bookmarking
Submit your website pages and articles to social bookmarking websites.
6) Comment Post (with link to your site)
Post comments on other blog / weblogs and forums with a link back to your website targeting keywords that will trigger a click through to your website.

Thanks Sam, It wasn’t on my list of things to do, but now that you mention it, i think i can supply a few of my tips. There are plenty of good resources online to help you out, but i will try an put together a few i feel are more important. Will get something together in the next week or two.
