Wedding Speeches – Groom? Best Man? Bride?

Posted by Digiblogger

From reading this i guess the audience would be anyone planning to do a wedding speech, best man speech, groom wedding speech or any wedding related speeches.
Ok this is a little off topic, however this may be coming your way at some point and it might be an idea to remember some of the things mentioned in this article.

Wedding speeches – Grooms Speech or Best man’s Speech?

Giving a speech at a wedding we all know is a pretty normal thing to do, but….. What if your friend called you up tomorrow and asked you to be there best man, or brides maid? are your dreading this day, or are you ready and expecting this type of thin to happen in your future at some point. So, here it is…. your friend has called you and mentioned that you will be their best man, or brides maid at their wedding in 2 WEEKS!! What will you do? Maybe the internet is the answer for your wedding speech? hmmmmm i would suggest it.

Wedding speeches found on the internet just or not going to cut it. If you are wating to impress with your wedding speech it kind of has to be relevant to the people getting married.. Yes this makes sense now… but watch it.. A speech found in a book or on the internet will not be a very personal approach to a speech, which is exactly why you shouldn’t be finding your wedding speech online or in a book. Try to be a little original with your speech. If you have a funny story about when you were both kids, this will get the attention of the people around you, an internet speech will not.

A few tips – (last tip is a must, and it will work!) :

  • Keep is short and don’t ramble on.
  • make is personal, remember your thoughts will not have already been said by others.
  • Mention how they met, its always entertaining.
  • Don’t Preach to your audience, that is someone else role and it doesn’t sound or look good.
  • There will always be people at weddings who you don’t know and who don’t know you, so make sure you introduce yourself at the beginning of your speech.
  • If all else fails or even if it doesn’t, finish up with a poem loved greatly by either party. Mention that it is a favorite, and read it out.

You never know, you may just bring the room to tears, in which case you have delivered a perfect wedding speech!
