How to listen to the radio on your BlackBerry

How to listen to the radio on your BlackBerry.

A topic of discussion over the web suggests there is a need to find a good provider for BlackBerry users to be able to listen to the radio on there PDA devices. So this inspired me to go on a hunt and in particular find a low cost or free provider for radio on the BlackBerry PDA.

I have been researching this topic for a while and trying search for free ways you listen to the radio on your BlackBerry for free. Not an easy task really.

I have however managed to find a website which does seem to support free radio on your BlackBerry with no cost at all to implement. The only cost is the bandwidth used to transmit the radio from the stations or moodio website to your Phone or PDA. Is it worth the cost? Im not sure that it is. However, as promised here is how you can listen to the radio on your BlackBerry PDA.

A little about Moodio

Moodio.fm brings the radio to your BlackBerry or other mobile device with ease. It allows you to listen to live audio streaming of any channel you want through the internal media player your device has.

Moodio.fm is a website allowing for a free and simple sign up to their system, which then enables you to add your stations or select from predefined stations and then access them on your device through the m.moodio.fm website.

The setup is pretty straight forward.

1. Create a user account to use with Moodio
2.
You can then add your favourite radio stations that you want to access from your BlackBerry to your “My Stations” list within your account panel.
3.
Then browse to m.moodio.fm on your BlackBerry or other PDA Device / Mobile Phone, simply login and browse the list you made online.

The best thing about this service is that unlike others, there is little software to be installed and the initial cost isn’t there. However, as mentioned there is obviously cost with the bandwidth your BlackBerry Device uses while you are listening to your stations.

Hope this helps out a little.
