World Economy – What does this mean for ecommerce sales?

A very interesting topic in my opinion is what does a bad economy really mean for ecommerce sales over the next few years?

While this may be an early time to say, i believe that globally ecommerce sales will rise by a large percentage in the coming years simply due to the bad growth in the world wide economy.

With a world wide recession being talked about right now, and small samples of a recession going around the globe we are heading for a new age. Ecommerce in my opinion as a basis of online transactions has only just begun.

How would this work?

With a recession at stake and a large amount of global speculation, the average being will begin to save every penny they can. What better time to close done your retail shop and begin mainstreaming your business online.

Ok this may be a little far fetched at this stage, but the principle of cutting expenses will guarentee to the an attractive offer for those paying a fortune on rent, power and customer service.

This will in turn raise the demand for online experts, like web developers, online marketing experts etc etc.

I am confident that the number of our ecommerce software downloads will go up in the future.

What do you think?
