1. First Page – First page is touted by it creator Evrsoft as the HTML editor that won’t alter with your HTML code. Frist Page has a list of predefined templates to create new HTML or CSS files.

2. Kompozer – Komposer is a simple  HTML editor based on “Gecko”, the engine behind Mozilla. The editor window in composer has tabs for WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) view, code-view, and live preview.

5. CoffeeCup HTML Editor – HTML code view editor with WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) design view. Includes built-in FTP, drag-and-drop capabilities, XHTML conversion tool and support for PHP and other programming languages.

CoffeeCup HTML Editor: indeed, it is NOT really free. Is is free for your personal use only, it is not allowed to use in commercial environments. For commercial use, you have to pay a fee. Unless changed, please read the install agreement. Indeed, it is announced as free, but the announcement is a catch. Komposer is a truly free in all senses, it is permitted to use it under you commercial project.
